Evaluate the Management Organization of Washington State Ferries Study

This study will evaluate the ferry system's management and staffing structure, to identify improvements to the management structure that more effectively address challenges presented by the system's changing operating environment. It will evaluate whether decisions are made at the appropriate level to meet vessel and terminal performance measures, and whether a different organizational or management structure would help improve efficiency and effective operations. The study is guided by the JTC, and is supported by a staff workgroup from the legislature, the ferry system, and the Governor's office.
