Plan Membership Default

Change the default plan selection for new hires from Plan 3 to Plan 2.

HB 1414/SB 5335

Month-of-Death

Pay a full month of benefits for the month in which a retiree dies.

HB 1408/SB 5661

Spousal Consent

Remove the requirement for spousal consent when the member selects a joint and survivor benefit of more than 50 percent for their spouse.

HB 1390/SB 5400

Plans 1 Cost-Of-Living Adjustment

Provide a one-time 3 percent benefit increase capped at $62.50/month to retired members of PERS and TERS Plans 1 who are not receiving a minimum benefit and have been retired at least one year.

HB 1413/SB 5350

Expanded Annuity Purchase

Provide the purchase of an additional annuity option to members of PERS, SERS, and PSERS with a minimum purchase price of $5,000.
