JLARC Audit And Study Reports
Legislative Auditor Conclusion
In 2011, the Legislature passed a bill granting temporary tuition-setting authority to the State’s four-year higher education institutions. The Legislature also directed the Joint Legislative Audit and Review Committee (JLARC) to conduct an audit of the “impact of tuition-setting authority on student access, affordability, and institutional quality.” This project update reports on how JLARC staff are approaching data collection for the project and how staff are defining and measuring access, affordability, and quality.
