LEGInfo provides a wealth of information by and about the Washington State Legislature.  Bill history information is updated as it happens; documents are posted as they become available. You have access to the following information.

Bill Information

You can obtain information on individual bills by number, by text search, by accessing reports and tables or subscribing to RSS feedsBill information is also available on pages formatted for mobile devices at Detailed Legislative Reports​.  For help with legislative documents, reports, and processes, contact the Legislative Information Center.

Committee Information

The standing and joint committees of the Legislature post contact information, member rosters, agendas, and meeting documents.

  • The LEGInfo home page provides a view of the schedule for the selected day and links to committee information and agendas.
  • On the Agendas, Schedules, and Calendars page, LEGInfo provides access to daily and weekly committee meeting schedules.  You can also subscribe to receive e-mail distribution of the agendas and schedules (Listserv).
  • Committee Meeting Documents on the individual committee pages and each agenda provide access to the materials used in the committee meetings.  Meeting documents become available at the starting time for the meeting.

Laws and Agency Rules

On the Laws and Agency Rules page, the Revised Code of Washington (RCW), the Washington Administrative Code (WAC), the Washington State Register (WSR), and the state Constitution are available via text search and tables of contents.

  • The Revised Code of Washington is the collection of the state statutes. It is updated in the Fall following the Session and in the Winter following the General Election.
  • RCW Dispositions are the statutes that have been repealed, decodified, or recodified under another section number. It is updated in the Fall following the Session and in the Winter following the General Election.  
  • The Washington Administrative Code is the collection of executive agency rules. It is updated every two weeks.
  • RCW and WAC archives.
  • The Washington State Register is the bi-weekly publication of proposed, emergency, and adopted rules. It is updated every two weeks.
  • The Session Law Chapter to Bill Table (see Bill/RCW/Session Law Cross Reference page) relates the bills that have passed the Legislature and been signed by the Governor to the chapter number assigned by the Secretary of State. It is updated as the numbers are assigned.
  • The Sections Affected Table (see Bill/RCW/Session Law Cross Reference > All Cross Reference Tables) provides a list of RCW sections and which Session Law affected that section.  The table notes which section of the Session Law affects the RCW and notes the action taken, for example, amend, add, repeal.
  • The state Constitution (including all constitutional amendments) is updated in the Winter following the General Election.
  • House Rules are updated at the start of each biennium, when the House adopts changes.
    Senate Rules are updated at the start of each biennium, when the Senate adopts changes.
  • The House and Senate use Reed's Rules of Parliamentary Procedure for the items not addressed by their operating rules.

Agendas, Schedules, and Calendars

On the Agendas, Schedules, and Calendars page, LEGInfo provides access to daily and weekly committee meetings, floor session schedules, and events on the Capitol Campus. You can also subscribe to receive e-mail distribution of the schedules (listserv) or view agenda and schedule information formatted for mobile devices.

Each member has two home pages, a LEGInfo home page and a caucus home page. Each member also has a link to an e-mail form. LEGInfo provides rosters as well.

General Information

History of the Washington State Legislature

Students, historians, and researchers can find a wealth of information about the history of the state, the Legislature, and the buildings and grounds.

RSS Feeds

RSS feeds are available for each bill introduced in the Legislature and notification whenever a new bill is added to a bill topic.  See About Washington State Legislature RSS Feeds for more information.
