SAO staff present their performance audits. The committee takes public testimony but does not vote on or endorse the audits.
SAO audits are done under the direction of the State Auditor, who chooses the audit topics. A separate legislative agency, JLARC, conducts nonpartisan performance audits for the Legislature.
