Select Committee on Pension Policy (SCPP)

The Select Committee on Pension Policy (SCPP) is an interim legislative committee tasked with studying issues related to the state retirement systems.

The SCPP studies issues and policies affecting the state's public employee retirement systems and makes recommendations to the Legislature and the Pension Funding Council regarding changes.

The SCPP is comprised of 20 members, including legislators, members appointed by the Governor, and the Directors of the Department of Retirement Systems and the Office of Financial Management. The Office of the State Actuary provides non-partisan staff to the SCPP.

You may ask the SCPP to study a pension issue by testifying at a committee meeting, contacting a committee member, or sending a letter to committee staff at the email listed under Contact.  Please see the Correspondence page for important information about sending a letter to the committee.
