Advisory Opinion 98-03

​Sample brochures designed for distribution at town hall meetings in an election year prior to June 30 were submitted to the Board for advice on whether they would violate the prohibition on use of public facilities for campaign purposes.  RCW 42.52.180

​The Board responded orally to the request because the first town hall meeting was imminent.  A formal written opinion was not issued.
