Higher education supplemental retirement plan

The Office of the State Actuary (OSA) contracts with the seven higher education institutions that participate in the Supplemental Retirement Plan (SRP). OSA provides actuarial support to help meet the financial reporting and accounting needs for this plan.

Supplemental retirement plan valuations

The most recent Actuarial Valuation Report is the 2025 Report and the most recent Experience Study is the 2021 Study. For other historical SRP publications, please see the Historical Valuation page

The June 30, 2025, actuarial information contained in the report will be used by the Office of Financial Management and the seven higher education institutions that participate in the SRP to prepare their financial reports.

OSA is also responsible for presenting SRP information to the Select Committee on Pension Policy (SCPP) and the Pension Funding Council (PFC). OSA’s role, along with the responsibilities of the SCPP and PFC regarding this plan, are defined in RCW 28B.10.243.
