Contribution rates projections

On this page you’ll find the contribution rate-setting process, projected contribution rates, and links to the current contribution rates.

Under current law, contribution rates are adopted every two years and follow the rate-setting process displayed in the table below.

Contribution Rate-Setting Process Actuarial Valuation Date Asset Returns Included Rates Adopted During
2025-27 Biennium June 30, 2023 Returns through June 30, 2023 Summer of 2024
2027-29 Biennium June 30, 2025 Returns through June 30, 2025 Summer of 2026
2029-31 Biennium June 30, 2027 Returns through June 30, 2027 Summer of 2028

Contributions are collected by the Department of Retirement Systems (DRS). The current (and historical) contribution rates are available on the DRS Website.

We intend to update this webpage in the fall of 2026 to reflect projected contribution rate estimates for the next two biennia (2029-31 and 2031-33).
