JLARC SOCIAL MEDIA POLICIES
This is the official account for the office of the Joint Legislative Audit and Review Committee (JLARC), which is a Washington State agency. All content may be subject to public disclosure.
Posts by the Legislative Auditor are limited to the official business of the JLARC office.
Third party comments on posts will not be edited by JLARC staff.
The JLARC office reserves the right to remove comments that are unrelated to legislative discourse, or which are defamatory, obscene, personally abusive or threatening, or which incite lawless action or illegal conduct. Habitual abusers of these criteria will be blocked.
Ethics laws prohibit the use of any legislative resource to support or oppose any candidate or ballot measure. Comments related to election campaigns or ballot measures can be removed.
Comments are not open to the promotion or advertisement of a business or commercial transaction or charitable solicitation.
Questions specific to a legislator should be submitted directly to that member’s office.
Comments posted are publicly accessible. Comments containing sensitive personal information, such as social security numbers, phone numbers, and home addresses are prohibited.
Following other social media accounts does not imply endorsement by the Legislative Auditor of any political candidates, campaigns, or policy positions.
This policy is subject to amendment or modification at any time.
