Complaint Opinion 00-02

​Alleged that the respondent failed to file his Washington State University employment contract with the Board for a conflict of interest analysis and that his employment did constitute a conflict of interest.

​Respondent was employed by WSU for several years prior to his legislative service.  In addition, the filing requirement for employment contracts like the one in this case was established in re Murray, 1999-05, and is prospective.  Respondent was under no duty to file but he did.  No facts to suggest a conflict of interest.  RCW 42.52.020 and 42.52.120.
