Complaint Opinion 06-12

​The Board filed this complaint on its own motion, alleging use of public resources for private gain of Respondent and/or his private employer.

​Over a period of approximately three years, the Respondent directed or authorized his Legislative Assistant to make 5 long distance calls and prepare 3 documents, at state expense, on behalf of Respondent's private employer in violation of RCW 42.52.160.  Respondent stipulated to findings, was penalized by a Letter of Instruction, and ordered to participate in one-on-one ethics training.
