Complaint Opinion 07-01B

​Complaint alleges Respondent used public resources and her position as a state officer to improperly assist and/or promote a business, NWT, owned by members of Respondent's family.

​Several allegations were dismissed for lack of reasonable cause.  Board concluded that Respondent did violate RCW 42.52.070 (special privileges) and .160 (improper use of public resources) through use of legislative position and public resources in representing NWT's business interests with local and state officials, including personnel at the Department of Ecology.  Costs and penalties assessed.  Respondent stipulated to findings and entry of the order.
