Complaint Opinion 09-02

​Complaint alleged Respondent used her legislative blog for private and campaign purposes in violation of RCW 42.52.160 and RCW 42.52.180.

​This use of the blog, a public resource, was an expression of Respondent's opinion on a bill being debated in the Legislature.  Board cites several opinions recognizing legislators' ability to use public resources in these situations, and to express their opinions in a partisan manner.  Dismissed for lack of reasonable cause.
