Preserving Capitol furniture

The Washington State Capitol was designed by the architectural firm of Wilder and White, who also designed some of the original furnishings. The Capitol Furnishings Preservation Committee seeks to identify, restore, and preserve these original and historic furnishings.

About the Committee

The Capitol Furnishings Preservation Committee was formed in 1999 by statute “to promote and encourage the recovery and preservation of the original and historic furnishings of the state capitol group."
