The Washington State Senate hires full-time and temporary employees at Washington’s beautiful capitol campus in Olympia. Senate staff (administrative, committee, caucus, and legislative assistants) provide various support services to legislators and other staff. Each employee plays an important role in the administration, operation, and maintenance of Washington's legislative system.

In addition to their monthly salary, Washington State Senate employees and their families are eligible for healthcare, retirement, and many other benefits.  

Note: Temporary positions are only eligible for limited benefits such as paid sick and bereavement leave, as well as access to the Employee Assistance Program.
