Study

This staff-led study will review fuel tax refunds for nonhighway and off-road use of gasoline and diesel. This is primarily a data-gathering task to provide an overview of off-road programs, analyze historical funding and expenditures, outline how the funds are distributed to the various accounts, and to document future identified off-road, snowmobile and marine funding needs.

Meeting Information:

Attached below is an agenda for next week's meeting of the Non Highway Fuel Tax Refunds study group.   The meeting is on Tuesday, October 19th from 10-noon in JTC's offices.  The focus of the meeting will be to review and discuss this draft of the report.  This is in draft form.

These are documents sent to stakeholders and agency personnel on July 28th for review and comment.  Draft Report 1.5 is the first draft of study Tasks 1 and 2, which are overviews of the programs, and documentation of how funds are distributed to treasury accounts.    One agency is still working on their program overview, due to previously-scheduled annual leave.  Comments should be e-mailed to Mary Fleckenstein at fleckenstein.mary@leg.wa.gov.  The document will be discussed at the August 5th meeting with stakeholders and agency personnel.

Off-Road Project Table-updated is an updated form for stakeholders and others to use to submit projects that document future off-road, snowmobile and marine funding needs.  This updated form reflects changes requested at the August 5th meeting.  September 24th is the deadline to submit project lists.  Please e-mail your list of projects and/or any questions to Mary Fleckenstein at fleckenstein.mary@leg.wa.gov, or call her at 360-786-7312.
