Plans 1 Ongoing COLA Study

This study examines an ongoing post-retirement cost-of-living adjustment for the Public Employees' Retirement System (PERS) and the Teachers' Retirement System (TRS) Plans 1 retirees in coordination with the reduction/elimination of the Plans 1 unfunded actuarial accrued liability.

Interruptive Military Service Credit Study

This study examines the costs and differences in service credit for current members and retirees of expanding fully subsidized IMSC to all members and retirees who received an Expeditionary medal.

Study of Administrative Practices Under Chapter 41.54 RCW

This study reviews the consistency of administrative practices as they relate to dual membership.

This study evaluates: 

  • A merger of the Law Enforcement Offices' and Fire Fighters Retirement Systems (LEOFF) Plan 1 / Teacher' Retirement Systems (TRS) Plan 1 (SB 6668)
  • A merger of the LEOFF 1/LEOFF 2 (update of 2011 Merger Study Report)

 

SCPP Study of WSPRS Recruitment and Retention Options

This study reviews pension-related options for recruiting and retaining Washington State Patrol commissioned officers.

SCPP Study of High-Risk Job Classification and School Employee ERFs

This study is published in two reports:

School Employee ERFs Study Report

This study, mandated under Chapter 7, Laws of 2012, First Special Sessions, evaluates: 

  • High-risk job classes for possible inclusion in the Public Safety Employees' Retirement System; and
  • Classroom employee effectiveness and the possible creation of different Early Retirement Factors (ERFs) for school employees. 

 

SCPP Study of HERPs

This study, mandated under Chapter 47, Laws of 2011, First Special Session, evaluates the suitability and necessity of Higher Education Retirement Plans for employees in various positions within higher education institutions.
