Biography

Born in Pensacola, Florida, on October 17, 1910, John A. Cherberg was a teacher, football coach, and television executive in Washington State before his election. He retired after serving 8 consecutive terms--32 years--the longest tenure as Lieutenant Governor of any state in history. Cherberg was a resident of Seattle.
