Higher education supplemental retirement plan
Office of the State Actuary (OSA) contracts with the seven higher education institutions that participate in the Supplemental Retirement Plan. OSA provides actuarial support to help meet the financial reporting and accounting needs for this plan.
Supplemental retirement plan valuations
The most recent publication is the 2023 Actuarial Valuation.
The June 30, 2023, actuarial information contained in the report will be used by the Office of Financial Management and the seven higher education institutions that participate in the Supplemental Retirement Plan to prepare their financial reports.
OSA is also responsible for presenting Supplemental Retirement Plan information to the Select Committee on Pension Policy (SCPP) and the Pension Funding Council (PFC). OSA’s role, along with the responsibilities of the SCPP and PFC regarding this plan, are defined in RCW 28B.10.243.
