Cutoff calendars

At the beginning of each session, a cutoff calendar for consideration of legislation is adopted by both houses in a concurrent resolution. These cutoff dates determine committee scheduling, floor time and member and staff workloads, including specified action such as bill introduction, committee action, or passage of bills by either house.
