Session dates

The 2026 regular session started on Monday January 12, 2026. It is a short session, lasting up to 60-days, with an expected end date of Thursday March 12, 2026. Prefiling for the 2026 session began on Monday December 1, 2025 and ended on Friday January 9, 2026. The last day the governor can take action on a bill is Saturday April 4, 2026, and the 90-day effective date is Thursday June 11, 2026. If session ends before March 12, 2026, the governor action date and 90-day effective date will change accordingly. 

The 2025 session was 105 days, it started Monday January 13, 2025 and adjourned sine die on Sunday April 27, 2025.

2025 Statistical summary   

Statistical summary of bills, resolutions, joint memorials, joint resolutions, concurrent resolutions, initiatives, and gubernatorial appointments that have been introduced, passed, partially vetoed, vetoed, and enacted, by year. 

2026 Statistical summary will be available after governor action (expected mid-April)
